William G. Wolk Of Counsel
Practice Experience
  • Mr. Wolk is a member of the firm’s Plaintiff’s litigation division, where he focuses on tort litigation, especially cases involving catastrophic injury and wrongful death.
  • Many of Mr. Wolk’s recent cases have concerned complex medical and nursing home malpractice, medical device and drug liability, legal malpractice, premises liability, and consumer class actions.
  • He also represents clients in insurance coverage/bad faith matters and class actions and has represented individuals and corporate clients in a wide-variety of complex commercial litigation.
  • He practices at both the trial and appellate levels.

Representative matters handled by Mr. Wolk include:

 

  • The seven-figure settlement of a complex medical malpractice and medical products case arising from the use of a defective spinal implant during an unnecessary spinal fusion surgery.
  • The seven-figure settlement of a wrongful death case caused when a dangerous dietary supplement incapacitated a 26-year-old man while he was driving to work.
  • The seven-figure settlement of a medical malpractice case involving the delayed diagnosis and treatment of a knee joint infection, leading to amputation.
  • The successful settlement of an insurance bad-faith case against an insurer that had denied coverage for a construction accident for more than five years.
  • The successful resolution of a commercial insurance coverage dispute between a national cellular telephone company and its insurer, a subsidiary of AIG, which resulted in the insurer’s payment of more than $2 million to settle a consumer class action lawsuit that had been filed against the telephone company.
