Christopher J. King Member
Practice Experience
  • Christopher King is a leading member of the firm’s Securities and Commodities Litigation Practice Group and Regulatory Enforcement Practice Group. He has defended enforcement actions around the country at both the trial and appellate level. As lead counsel, he has won landmark decisions limiting regulators’ ability to recover restitution for customer losses in CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission) enforcement actions, and key rulings against efforts to regulate the foreign currency spot market.
  • Mr. King leads the firm’s appellate practice and has represented clients before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 6th, 7th, 10th, and 11th Circuits, as well as at the State level in Florida and Illinois.
  • Mr. King has represented international clients from Switzerland, the Dominican Republic, and Venezuela in both federal and state court.
  • Mr. King has extensive trial experience in securities litigation, as well as in commercial and civil disputes both large and small.
